If I may say something, and you can do what you want with this, I want to tell you this: have fun. Enjoy yourself. ‘You live once’ is one of the most used phrases in history, yet as worn out as it is undeniable.
Doing what we like, enjoying that feeling that arises when everything flows and you feel creativity exploding, laughing, having a good time, clearing your head, and focusing solely on what is happening in that moment. Few things compare to that sensation.
Try to find what generates that feeling for you, what allows you to surprise yourself. Something that challenges you but at the same time you enjoy learning and doing. The body speaks volumes, and when we do what we like, it does not stay silent. The mind flows, ideas come, and everything works somehow. Regardless of the outcome.
Making portraits for me is just that. It’s finding those moments of flow and enjoyment. Challenging myself and connecting with what the other person is experiencing and feeling. And seeing the results is always encouraging and a push to continue growing.
