I’m Pau, a documentary family photographer based in Haarlem. I photograph newborns at home, in the first weeks, while life is still a little upside down. You don’t need to tidy up or plan outfits: the unmade bed and the burp cloths are part of the story.
I follow your rhythm: if your baby needs a feed or a nap, we wait. Siblings, grandparents and pets are welcome. Sessions in Haarlem, Bloemendaal and Heemstede have no travel costs.

When to book
Book during your pregnancy
Newborn sessions happen in the first three weeks, ideally in the first two, when babies sleep a lot and still curl up in your arms. That’s why it’s best to book in your second or early third trimester.
I keep your due date in my calendar. Once your baby is born, send me a message and we choose the day together, when you feel ready.

About 1.5 hours at your baby’s pace. I follow the feeds, naps and cuddles; you don’t need to do anything special.

When should we book our newborn session?
During your pregnancy, ideally in the second or early third trimester. I keep your due date and we set the exact day after the birth.
How old should our baby be?
Between about 5 days and 3 weeks old. In the first two weeks babies sleep more and are easier to hold close, but every family is different: we choose the day when you feel ready.
Do we need to prepare the house?
No. Open the curtains in one or two rooms and that’s it. I look for the light; your real home is part of the story.
Do you charge travel costs?
Not in Haarlem, Bloemendaal (incl. Overveen & Aerdenhout) and Heemstede. €15 elsewhere in Kennemerland and Haarlemmermeer, €25 to Amsterdam and Leiden.
What should we wear?
Comfortable clothes you feel good in, in soft, neutral colours. Skin-to-skin moments are beautiful too, only if you feel comfortable.
What if the baby comes early or late?
That’s completely normal. Your booking moves with your baby at no cost. And if there are medical complications, we simply move the session to a date within the first 8 weeks. Your deposit is never lost.
